Deftones é uma banda de metal alternativo formada na cidade de Sacramento, Califórnia, Estados Unidos, em 1988. A singularidade, a criatividade e o experimentalismo da banda fazem com que ela se distancie do rótulo de nu metal, e seu som é geralmente definido, inclusive por muitos fãs mundo afora, como metal e rock experimental.

Deftones is an Alternative Metal formed at the city of Sacramento, California, USA, in 1988. The band's singularity, creativity and experimentalism make they distance the label of Nu Metal, and it's sound is generally definited, inclusively by many fans worldwide, as Metal and Experimental Rock.
