Julien-K começou como um projeto paralelo de rock com música eletrônica criado por Amir Derakh e Ryan Shuck do grupo Orgy, com a entrada mais tarde de Brandon Belsky e Elias Andra.O primeiro álbum, “Death To Analog”, que foi mixado por Tim Palmer, foi lançado no dia 17 de Fevereiro de 2009. É precisamente nesse dia que as transmissões de Televisão analógica acabaram nos EUA (Death Of Analog Television).

Julien-K has started as a paralell project of rock with electronic music created by Amir Derakh and Rhyan Shuck from the group Orgy, with the latest entrance of Brandon Belsky and Elias Andra. The first album, "Death to Analog", mixed by Tim Palmer, was released in 17th February, 2009. It was exactly in this day that analogic television transmissions has ended in the USA (Death of Analog Television).
